(Senior) Software Developer (m/f/x) - Shared Core
Our Hetzner Cloud team of around 70 employees works remotely throughout Germany as well as in our office in Munich (Unterföhring).
Our Shared Core Team takes care of the backend components that contribute to the user experience and ensures the high quality our customers are familiar with. As the central point of contact for interfaces for and between internal products, we play a key role in the further development and maintenance of the API specification. We work closely with our Frontend and Integrations Team to ensure seamless integration and the best possible user experience.
This position includes an on-call rotation to maintain our services and can be performed remotely within Germany.

Your tasks
- You are the interface to our product teams and ensure smooth communication
- You weigh up different architectures, discuss them with various teams and document the decisions made in order to actively contribute to co-design and to clarity and transparency in the development process
- With your eye for detail, you actively contribute code to our projects company-wide
Your profile
- You have sound experience in API design with gRPC, REST or comparable technologies
- You have successfully worked with data streaming applications such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Independent and proactive work is a natural part of your job and you appreciate working in distributed teams
- You are business fluent in both German and English
